Position Purpose · Lead and manage Taco Bell’s Restaurant Network Engineering team. This position contributes to Taco Bell’s success by leading and enhancing Information Technology Infrastructure’s network services. Job Responsibilities · Lead Taco Bell in planning and executing restaurant network infrastructure initiatives to deploy, enhance, and sustain technologies that will cost effectively support business strategies and operational requirements. · Provide strategic direction and vision of restaurant voice, data, and wireless networks infrastructure, including review and assessment of emerging technologies. · Communicate strategies in business terms to executive leadership, peer teams, and franchise organizations. · Develop strategy and supporting business cases for new technologies and communicate business benefits to executive management. · Provide overall leadership across Taco Bell, Yum, and sister brands for networking guidance. · Provide infrastructure guidance and insights for all projects and ensure alignment with each project’s strategic direction. · Maintain a broad knowledge of current and emerging state-of-the-art/computer network systems technologies, architectures, and services. · Provide top tier technical systems expertise and support. This includes the oversight and accountability for resolution of restaurant network outages, service level issues, and user support needs in coordination with the network provider’s Operations Support Centers. · Display a high degree of proficiency in project management techniques. This includes: time estimation, resource allocation, project status updates, and managing critical paths and milestone deadlines. · Demonstrate the ability to lead enterprise-wide projects which span multiple business units, including franchise and vendor participants. · Provide leadership for escalation of complex cross functional issues to ensure reduced system downtime. · Define and implement process improvements and procedural changes for preventative maintenance. · Become fully competent in Taco Bell’s business operations, including cross business unit integration, cross functional integration, developing business partnership and technical consultation with franchise organizations, and supporting the function’s strategic and AOP objectives. · Ensure all network technologies comply with industry standards, best practices, and compliance (PCI, SOX, etc.) · Participate in vendor evaluation, RFI/RFP support, lab testing of new technologies, and decision making support. · Provide coaching, direction, and leadership to develop an active and engaged team, driving for extraordinary results. · Maintain a heightened awareness of industry trends associated with all technologies within the Taco Bell ecosystem. Evaluate and recommend new technologies. These recommendations will have long-term impact to Taco Bell’s budget and expanding technology portfolio. Explanation of business requirements for technology must be clearly conveyed to all levels of leadership. Qualifications Education · BS/BA in CS, Engineering, IS or equivalent formal training and experience Experience Required · 3+ years of experience in management within an IT environment and cross functional teams. · 5+ years of hands-on experience in a complex IT infrastructure network environment. · Working knowledge of QSR or retail environment and the technologies used in such businesses. · Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence the process, including the franchise portion of the business. · Proven success attracting and developing high caliber talent. · CCNA/CCIE and ITIL experience/credentials preferred. |
