Description Taco Bell is looking for a Manager to lead the Marketing Analysis team, which is part of Strategic Finance. Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Development, Operations, and Supply Chain, the Manager of Marketing Analysis leads a team that provides financial analysis and forecasting support in the development and launch of marketing initiatives and new products. The Marketing Analysis team is a dynamic point of entry into the Taco Bell organization, often serving as a launching point for various parts of the Taco Bell and Yum businesses. The team has a mix of former consultants, MBA hires, and finance experts. The chief responsibility of the Manager is to provide business insights and recommendations on all stages of product and promotion development from ideation to National Launch. Requirements Job Responsibilities: · Partner with Marketing on sales-driving initiatives, providing the financial framework to support decisions and analyze results o The Marketing Analysis team works with 5 Marketing Brand Managers on 5 concept pillars. In a typical year, the team will support testing and launching 30+ new products/strategic initiatives. o The cross-functional partnership with Marketing, Operations and Consumer Insights spans the full product lifecycle; from Product Development to Market Test thru National Launch. o Functional responsibility is to determine profit impact of marketing campaigns, requiring proforma development and breakeven analysis. · Partner with Supply Chain, Food Innovation, Marketing and Operations teams to prepare for National Launch o Lead high level mix forecasting process o Work closely with Supply Chain Organization to continuously improve Sales and Operations Planning Process · Lead Strategic Initiatives, focused on Sales Growth and Profit Optimization o Active role with teams designed to grow product platforms, beverages and daypart strategies o Lead a category team designed to reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality of an ingredient, asset or process · Work directly with Taco Bell Franchisees to communicate the business case of marketing initiatives, financial impacts and pricing recommendations o Periodic meetings with Franchise leadership as part of promotional alignments and annual financial planning · Weekly business updates with the CFO, highlighting changes and recommendations related to marketing programs and supply chain. · Motivate and grow team to become next generation of leaders o Responsible for managing 2 Associate Managers and 1 Analyst while working with other Analysts across the team Education and Experience: · BA required; analytical degree preferred (e.g., Economics, Mathematics, Engineering) · MBA preferred · 5+ years relevant work experience (e.g., Corporate Finance, Restaurants, CPG, Retail, Consulting) · Experience managing talented, diverse individuals · Strong internal motivation, intellectual curiosity, logical thinking and desire to have a large impact on our organization · Demonstrated success influencing diverse customers and leading teams that include non-direct repots in cross-functional settings · Superior analytical and financial modeling skills, with ability to succinctly interpret data for executives and frame business issues in a straightforward manner · Excellent story-telling and presentation-writing skills, with ability to convey sophisticated concepts in a clear and compelling way · Proficient with Excel and Powerpoint |
